Annandale House 01
Architecture / Residential
- Type of Building: Free Standing House
- Area: Annandale
- Builder: Grover Constructions
Adjacent to a canal, this project was restricted by flood constraints, site remediation and building orientation due to a tight battle-axe allotment and subdivision to an existing lot. The design solution embraced a narrow rectilinear form that borrowed on neighbouring landscape to emphasise curated views for the main living areas and bedrooms. Design was inspired by the idea of the home as a pavilion sitting amoungst the landscape and canal. Modern interiors with face brick and steel bi-folding doors helped showcase the client’s extensive art collection.
