The clients in the Arden Street House had outgrown their space and needed to sell. They came to us to help with a renovation that would increase the floor area of their home and increase their chance of making a profit that they could use to invest in a larger property.

Our design focused on adding a level to their single-storey home to accommodate three bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the ground floor we maintained existing features to the street front. The roof form to the first floor maximised natural light from the North by including highlight windows that were placed along the length of the addition.

This created a light and airy stair circulation and study. We established a neutral palette and contemporary styling throughout, ensuring the home would appeal to a broader market.

The clients maintained strict control over the budget during construction and in the end achieved the highest possible sale price at auction enabling them to buy the home of their dreams.
