The redesign of this Heritage terrace retained all the charm, style and detail of the home our clients fell in love with while providing them with the modern style and comforts they needed. The property’s high level of Heritage significance was enhanced with the addition of modern landscaping, stone work and a mint-painted entry door. Original features were celebrated with a simple repainting of walls, ceilings and cornices, and refinishing of the existing floors. At the rear of the home we were able to maximise the potential for natural light by creatively varying the ceiling levels of the addition, incorporating clerestory windows and oversized sliding doors. Quality materials such as glass, natural stone floors and benchtops, timber decking and veneer joinery gave the home the sophistication it called for. Seamless indoor and outdoor living areas expanded our clients entertaining space into a sunken patio flush with the interior. An operable pergola over further increased the potential for natural light, and the outdoor BBQ and bar fridge secured the envy of all the neighbours.
